We are a recruitment company, who specialise in MEP recruitment in the Built Environment, looking for an Electrically biased Engineer, who has previous experience as an Electrical Engineer, working on multi million pound MEP schemes within the construction, built environment.

Our client is a significant MEP contractor, with offices UK wide, who need to recruit an additional staff Electrical Project Engineer, to be part of their wider teams to manage the electrical install on a multi million pound project in Digbeth.

The job is circa £10M MEP value, on a new build residential scheme of 550 beds, over 5 towers, with the tallest being 28 floors.

The project is fully modular, with a wet half and dry half to each apartment that require a stitch up. The MEP services are shell & core, power & light, drains and collection, cold water feed and commissioning. Pods are utility cupboards, bathrooms and kitchen units that require installing and coupling up to the main building services, as described.

The start date in site for the MEP is October 2024, with construction well under way.

The project is significant and will run for the next 18 months, with further work in the area a given thereafter.

There is already the support of a site based Lead Project Manager, Mechanical Engineer, a visiting Contracts Manager, who are currently working with the main contractor, design consultant and sending out enquiries to the sub contractors network, activities that you will join and take over the electrical aspect to manage moving forward.

Your previous experience absolutely needs to be in the built environment and your experience demonstrates engineering management of similar projects.

You will keep a tight control on time, budget and output, with the support of the site managers across the buildings, along with regular meetings with the PM and wider team, collaborating for a quality completion of the project in a timely and profitable fashion.
