This pivotal role within the firm offers the opportunity to play a key role in strategic decision-making, business development, and client management.The Role of The Audit and accounts Director is to oversee a portfolio of clients across a diverse range of industries. The successful candidate will lead and manage audit assignments, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide high-quality advisory services. The candidate will also contribute to the firm’s growth strategy, identifying opportunities to expand services and enhance client relationships.Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and managing audit engagements from planning to completion.
  • Providing technical expertise and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards.
  • Managing and developing a team of auditors and accountants, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted business advisor.
  • Identifying opportunities for business development and contributing to the firm’s growth strategy.
  • Reviewing financial statements and providing insight to clients on business performance.
  • Working closely with partners to drive operational excellence and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced audit professional with strong technical knowledge and leadership skills. They will have a proven track record of managing a diverse client portfolio and driving business growth.Essential Requirements:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Extensive audit and accounts experience within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards.
  • Ability to develop client relationships and identify business opportunities.
  • Commercially astute with strong communication and presentation skills.
