ENVIRONMENT:

YOUR experience in the Plastic Packaging industry is required to fill the role of the next Account Manager for a dynamic Manufacturer based in Cape Town. Travelling locally and across provinces, your role will entail acquiring new potential sales and marketing leads. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and must have experience within the Plastic Packaging industry - preferably with blown film extrusion and/or cast film extrusion and with products such as shrink films, pallet wrap, lamination films, polyethylene films, food films and plastic bags.

DUTIES:

• Establish new potential sales and marketing leads for products.
• Call on and visit existing and potential customers throughout the country as necessary.
• Turn potential leads into new customers by conducting sales for products.
• Manage customer accounts within your client portfolio which entails:
  • Managing and upholding the relationship between the customer and the business.
  • Ensuring new orders are placed according to the satisfaction of the customer under management.
  • Ensuring delivery of orders to the respective customers under management.
  • Ensuring prompt and timely payments of accounts is received by the respective customers under management.
• Communicate and report directly to the Managing Director and Sales Manager and their duly authorised representatives.
• Attend mandatory Sales meetings.
• Proper record keeping of customer data in respective customer files for future use.
• Update price lists for individual customers.
• Establish and present sales reports as may be necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have experience B2B sales experience in the Plastic Packaging industry. Preferably with blown film extrusion and/or cast film extrusion and with products such as shrink films, pallet wrap, lamination films, polyethylene films, food films, plastic bags, etc.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel on an intermediate level.
• Must be fluent in English - excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
