Hours: Full Time, (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Acute Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team at a hospital in Oxfordshire. This is a full-time, Band 6 role with a Monday to Friday working schedule (8:30 AM to 4:30 PM). The position offers a competitive rate of £25-26 per hour and is available for an immediate start, with ongoing contract potential.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will provide specialist occupational therapy services to paediatric patients in an acute hospital setting. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and delivering therapeutic interventions to children with various physical and developmental needs. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care and support for young patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments of paediatric patients to determine their occupational therapy needs.
Develop and implement individualised therapy plans to promote independence and enhance quality of life.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
Provide education and advice to patients and their families.
Monitor and review patient progress, adapting therapy plans as required.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
Requirements:

HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
Proven experience in paediatric occupational therapy, particularly in acute settings.
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of paediatric conditions.
Experience of complex discharge planning
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A compassionate approach with a focus on patient-centred care.
Available for an immediate start.
