Job Description:

Are you an experienced MET Technician or MET Strip Fitter looking for your next challenge? Our client is seeking a highly skilled and efficient MET Technician to join their team in Barnsley. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing vehicles to the highest standards, following manufacturers' specifications and using state-of-the-art equipment in a fast-paced accident repair environment. Qualifications and Skills Required for MET Technician / MET Strip Fitter:

Recognized apprenticeship as an MET Technician or MET Strip Fitter
Technical qualifications such as NVQ / ATA / IMI / SVQ
Proven experience working as an MET Technician within a busy body shop
Strong team player with a drive to meet and exceed performance targets
Experience in geometry work and 4-wheel alignment
Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and diagnostic processes
Diagnostic training and experience in using diagnostic equipment
Key Duties of MET Technician / MET Strip Fitter:

Efficiently perform repairs in a high-volume accident repair centre
Follow the correct repair techniques and meet factory specifications for quality
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and trim issues using modern diagnostic equipment
Conduct thorough inspections to assess vehicle damage and identify required repairs
Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as needed for repairs
Repair or replace damaged mechanical and electrical components
Perform quality checks and ensure repairs meet industry standards
Collaborate with the team to ensure an efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs
Maintain accurate records of work completed, ensuring all procedures and standards are followed
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
