Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer - ManchesterDue to project growth the position of Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer has become available to join our successful team based in our Manchester Office

Costain provides engineering services to the Energy, Water, Transport, Nuclear and Defence sectors. With over 300 engineers and designers across the UK. Our main engineering hubs in Manchester, London and Aberdeen. Experience and capability to provide engineering services to all sectors.

This is a hybrid role with at least 3 days in our Manchester Office

Role Requirements

• Degree in electrical engineering or suitable equivalent (e.g. Electronic / Electrical / Control Engineering)

• 15 years' experience within the Energy Sector (Oil & Gas).

• Good knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements within electrical engineering.

• Responsibility for instrument discipline technical input for projects and/or proposals; including preparation, checking and/or approval of engineering documentation

• Experience in the requirements for CE marking of plant and equipment, including ATEX, PED, Low Voltage Directive, Machinery Directive and EMC Compliance

• Extensive knowledge of UK legislation and standards

• Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive

• Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way

• Must be customer focussed by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs
