Assistant Accountant | Callington | £28,000 - £33,000 | Full-Time, Office-Based

We are partnering with a leading local employer who are looking to strengthen their finance team with the appointment of an Assistant Accountant. 💼 The Role: Working closely with the Company Accountant and Finance Director, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function. From preparing VAT and CIS submissions to assisting with year-end processes, your attention to detail and strong Excel skills will be crucial.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

Manage the BACS and CHAPS payment process

Assist in preparing VAT returns & CIS submissions

*

Month-end journals & fixed asset register maintenance

*

Support statutory reporting and year-end audit process

*

Review and process supplier information and fuel card data

*

Produce ad-hoc financial reports

*

Ensure compliance with all financial procedures and policies

Previous experience in a finance/accounts environment

⏰ Hours: Monday to Thursday - 8:00am to 5:00pm
Friday - 8:00am to 4:00pm
