Now seeking a Support Mentor to join on a temporary basis in Warwickshire.

The role
A Support Mentor to join the team at their campus based in Warwick to support students in classes with special educational needs.

Hours: Monday to Friday (32.5 - 36 hours)
Contract Duration: 1 month commencing asap
Pay rate: £15-£25 p/hr

You will take responsibility for:

* Supporting students with special education needs through tailored 1 on 1 and group sessions.

* Collaborating with teaching staff to enhance student engagement and adapt the curriculum.

* Encouraging personal development, independence and academic growth.

* Managing behaviours and promoting a positive learning environment.

* Tracking student progress and providing feedback to support plans.

What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

* GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English (Grade A-C).

* Knowledge and understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and behaviour management.

* Previous experience in a student support/mentoring position or similar.

* An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months is required for this role.

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

* Previous experience working as a support mentor or similar role in a college/higher education setting

* Prior experience supporting students with Autism or ADHD, or other complex needs.
