My client a City law firm are looking for temporary Legal Billing Coordinator to join their team for 2 months. This role is crucial for ensuring professional and timely service in client billing processes, working closely with fee earners, compliance, and cashier teams to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Day-to-day of the role: - Responsible for client billing, ensuring it is carried out efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
- Oversee client due diligence, as well as matter opening and closing processes.
- Raise draft invoices for fee earner review and check these drafts for any inaccuracies.
- Work closely with all teams to ensure accurate billing details and resolve billing issues promptly.
- Finalise and dispatch invoices to clients.
- Assist with accounts receivable and collections if required.
- Handle time recording enquiries and amendments.
- Liaise with fee earners and the cashiering team regarding expenses and third-party supplier invoices, ensuring proper authorisation and processing.
- Ensure accurate online filing of invoices and other paperwork.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Logical thinker with excellent organisational skills and proficiency in numbers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of SRA and VAT regulations, and firm’s Anti Money Laundering and KYC processes.
- Experience using practice management systems; knowledge of Peppermint is beneficial but not essential.
- Self-disciplined with keen attention to detail.
- Good team working skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Competence in using Excel.
- Proven experience as a legal billing coordinator or in a similar role.
- Understanding of legal procedures and terminology.
The role is 2 days in the office and 3 from home.
