DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Health & Safety and Facilities Manager to play a vital role ensuring continuous development and execution of Health and Safety across the business within Finished Vehicle Solutions.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, you will

  • Provide HSE & BCM guidance and support to enable the sites to comply with relevant statutory legislation
  • Provide guidance and direction to site Management teams to ensure continued compliance and improvement of HSE & BCM standards
  • Help identify, assess and implement actions to reduce personal injuries, motor incidents & claims.
  • Ensure adequate and appropirate HSE & BCM advice, guidance and support is provided to the sites
  • Monitor the accuracy and quality of information in Logics and ensure trend analysis is produced and used by sites
  • Keep abreast of Health & Safety legislation and ensure that site management teams are kept up to date with Health & Safety legislation updates
  • Ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are developed and maintained
  • Work with contractors to ensure compliance on site but to ensure maintenance of the site condition and facility
  • Review best practice across both sites and ensure facility management is consitant across both

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Previous Health & Safety experience within an operational setting is desirable.
  • Previous experience within Finished Vehicle Solutions would be desirable
  • NEBOSH General certificate or equivalent (would consider candidates working towards obtaining their NEBOSH certificate)
  • Previous H&S responsibility in a warehouse and transport environments, target focused and an ability to deliver standardised programs
  • Stakeholder management and management influence
  • Travel within Cluster area and beyond as operational requirements dictate
