Murray McIntosh are searching for a Controls & Calibration Engineer to work for a key client of ours on a contract basis as detailed below:

Responsibilities:

Integrate the engine controller with systems like aftertreatment, transmission, immobiliser, dashboard, telematics, FOTA, and security.
Calibrate sensors and actuators across the engine and after treatment system.
Develop and optimize control algorithms.
Define and validate requirements using HiL simulations and dynamometer testing.
Manage calibration submission and review.
Configure and test diagnostics, including fault detection and resolution.
Provide technical support, including field investigations and issue rectification.Required Skills:

Strong understanding of gasoline/diesel engine fundamentals and automotive electrical/electronic systems, particularly Tier 1 control systems, interface tools, and software documentation.
Expertise in ECUs, sensors, actuators, and CAN-based communication (J1939, UDS, CCP), plus diagnostic systems.
Experience in test procedure development and continuous improvement is highly desirable
