Refrigeration Engineer - Yorkshire to Newcastle

Location: Leeds (Working across sites from York to Newcastle)
Working Hours: 08:00 - 17:00 (42.5 hours per week)
Salary: £42,000 per year

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Refrigeration Engineer to join our client's team, working across a number of Sainsbury's Local stores from York to Newcastle. The ideal candidate will have experience with refrigeration systems, including CO2 systems, cold rooms, freezers, and chillers, as well as basic electrical and plumbing knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

* Service, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems including CO2, SCM Packs, walk-ins, cold rooms, freezers, and chillers.

* Conduct first-line electrical repairs (e.g., socket replacements) and plumbing maintenance (e.g., leaks and blockages).

* Provide a high level of customer service while maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring adherence to strict SLAs.

* Participate in the on-call rota (1 in 4) and manage any breakdowns or issues that arise during out-of-hours.

* Work across a number of stores in a defined geographical area (York to Newcastle), ensuring efficient travel and work scheduling.

Qualifications:

* F Gas is essential

* Co2 awareness would be beneficial

Benefits:

* Salary: £42,000 per year

* Overtime Available: £23 per hour, rising to £24 per hour

* Call Out Standby: £200 for each standby period (1 in 4 rota)

* Holiday Allowance: 25 days + 8 bank holidays (4 fixed, 4 floating)

* Travel Time: Door to door, minus 30 minutes each way
