Progress Teachers are currently recruiting for 1:1 Teaching Assistant's on a full time basis in the Carlton area of Nottingham. 

All positions will initially start on a long term basis immediately but, have the opportunity to become permanent after 12 weeks for the right candidate!

The schools we are working alongside are mainstream primary schools and they're looking for strong SEND 1-1 TA's to support pupils with Complex Needs in KS1 & KS2.

Working hours are 8:30-3:30, Monday-Friday.

Pay £84.77- £90 per day 

Responsibilities:

Work with pupils in either EYFS,KS1 or KS2 on a 1:1 basis both in and away from the classroom

Provide regular sensory breaks when pupils become dysregulated

Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.

Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Adapt your approach to meet the needs of each pupil

Work collaboratively with the school SENCO and class teacher

Update parents and carers on pupil progress

Contribute to the development of EHCP plans

Requirements:

Have a background in Education, Youth Work, Family Support Worker or Children's Residential Support Work.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with primary aged students

Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and learning needs.

A DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain)

Please note: to qualify for the higher end of the pay scale you must have at least three years experience as an SEND Teaching Assistant
