We are currently seeking adaptable and resourceful SEND Teaching Assistants to join our team for day-to-day, long-term, and permanent assignments across primary schools in Kirklees.

Role Overview
As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Working closely with class teachers, you will:

Provide one-to-one or small group support to assigned pupils with special educational needs (SEND).
Assist with all curriculum subjects, ensuring students remain engaged and focused.
Create a stimulating and nurturing learning environment to promote social and academic development.
Support the wider class and teacher as needed.
Foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes.Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:

Have recent experience supporting children with special educational needs, ideally on a one-to-one basis.
Demonstrate a nurturing and supportive approach, with excellent behaviour management skills.
Show a passion for supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally.
Build strong working relationships with children and staff.
Have a solid understanding of varying special educational needs and associated challenges.
Hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in education or a related field.
Possess a Team-Teach qualification or manual handling training (desirable but not essential).Why Join Stafflex?
