Building Services Maintenance Technician - Facilities Maintenance / Manufacturing

Circa £37,000 to £39,000

I am currently looking to recruit a Building Services Maintenance Technician (electrically Biased) to join my client based in Dordon, Warwickshire

About the Role:

Perform and document planned maintenance, repairs, and daily housekeeping duties across the site in a safe and timely manner, ensuring facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Collaborate with other departments and external contractors, issuing Permits to Work, and ensuring all work is carried out safely and meets quality standards.

Diagnose, repair, and improve building service facilities, such as toilets and gutters, and assist in the continual development of the maintenance system.

Manage tools, stores, and equipment, ensuring they are used safely, and arrange procurement of necessary components.

Report and communicate all work activities, defects, hazards, and parts used, attending training sessions and escalating issues to the Line Manager as needed.

About You:

Qualifications and Experience: Ideally possess Level 2 in Facilities Services or Plumbing, with experience in electrical systems (single and 3 phase), HVAC, and sprinkler systems (desirable).

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve issues, especially with controls and conveyor systems, and provide effective solutions.

Communication and Teamwork: Good communicator with the ability to share knowledge, work well in a team, and ensure high standards are maintained.

Technical Competency: Competent in using computerised systems like BMS (desirable) and understanding the criticality of issuing permits and safe contractor management.

Safety and Compliance: Strong understanding of H&S standards, working safely, and ensuring others do as well; full training on site services will be provided.

Flexibility and Professionalism: Flexible working patterns to meet business needs, proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and adherence to respectful and professional behaviour at all times.

Working Hours:

This role will require you to work 40 hours per week Monday - Friday, some weekends may be required depending on business needs. The core start time is 08:00-16:00, however flexibility will be required in order to meet business needs. We will also require you, on occasion, to be contactable via telephone out of office hours, via the companies escalation procedure, for any urgent escalations which may arise within the region.
