The role
As a Junior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of engineering design packages that meet the required standards of time, cost, and quality. You'll also provide expert process engineering advice and take on some of the more complex technical challenges within the team.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
Produce design deliverables (drawings, reports, calculations) that adhere to safety, cost, quality, and time requirements.
Provide process engineering support and solutions for challenging technical problems.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and optimisation projects.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory, and company standards.
Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders, including occasional travel to other sites for project coordination.
Mentor and develop junior team members, supporting their growth and
knowledge transfer.You will have the following qualifications & experience
A BEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering or a relevant field
Relevant experience as a Process Engineer, ideally in the nuclear or highly regulated sector.
Experience in producing process discipline documents and supporting team-based engineering tasks.
Ability to assist with process engineering coordination and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Legal right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain SC clearance prior to employment.It's great if you also have the following
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with external stakeholders and team members, both verbally and in writing.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to independently find solutions to technical challenges.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage your time and meet deadlines while exceeding expectations.The setting for the role
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
