We are recruiting for an experienced Duty Operations Manager on behalf of a respected private coach operator in London. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, a valid PCV licence, and hands-on transport experience.

Role Highlights:

* 5 on / 3 off shift pattern

* Supervising and managing a team of drivers

* Overseeing daily operations & responding to live issues

* Tracking vehicle locations and ensuring smooth services

* Stepping in to drive when required

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervising driver shift handovers and performance

* Monitoring vehicle tracking systems & resolving real-time issues

* Ensuring drivers are briefed, uniformed, and compliant

* Managing minor investigations and handling driver queries

* Coordinating with engineering on maintenance & defect reports

* Carrying out compliance checks, including breath testing

* Maintaining operational records & reports

Salary:

* £43,000 per year

Requirements:

* Proven experience managing a team - ideally in a transport setting

* Valid PCV Licence (Essential)

* Operational knowledge of the coach or bus industry

* Ability to lead from the front & maintain high service standards

* Strong communication, problem-solving & organisational skills

* Confident using tracking systems & completing basic reports

* Flexible to work shifts, weekends & be on call when required
