Qualification: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards it)

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Support Team Leader to join our new, purpose-built service in Harrogate. This service supports up to 9 individuals with mental health challenges and learning disabilities, operating with gradual occupancy and a fully staffed team of support assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate, and manage a frontline support team to ensure the effective implementation of care and support plans.
• Provide visible leadership, offering hands-on support on a rota basis and local on-call assistance as needed.
• Teach, coach, mentor, and develop staff, overseeing their induction and ongoing training.
• Build positive relationships with the individuals supported, their families, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations by conducting assessments and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Effectively manage budgets and resources, adapting to meet the changing needs of the service.
• Maintain clear communication within the team and with all relevant parties.

Essential Criteria:
• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within health and social care.
• Strong leadership, planning, and development skills.
• Excellent communication and IT skills.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements related to mental health and learning disabilities.
• Ability to manage complex issues while fostering collaboration.
• Commitment to personal and professional development.
• Full clean driving license with business use insurance.

Shift Patterns:
Shift patterns vary depending on the support needed, typically requiring 5 days of work over a 7-day period, which may include weekends. Rotas are scheduled 3 months in advance and include on-call duties.
