About the role:

A vibrant and inclusive primary school in the heart of Newham is seeking a dedicated HLTA to join their team in January 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. As an HLTA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the school's teaching and learning objectives across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a full-time, long-term position that offers variety and responsibility.

Application Requirements: We are looking for a passionate individual with:

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience working within a primary school setting, preferably in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to inspire and motivate students.
• A proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering engaging lessons to small groups or whole classes in the absence of the teacher.
• Supporting teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons.
• Providing one-to-one or small group interventions to accelerate progress for pupils with diverse needs.
• Collaborating with teachers and the SEN team to create inclusive learning strategies.
• Supervising and supporting pupils during break times and other school activities.
