We have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join our Procurement team at The London Clinic, based at our main site in London (W1G 6BW). We are offering a competitive inclusive salary range of £36,450 - £46,014 per annum.

Job Profile:
As a Buyer, you will work in partnership with department leads and managers to provide and effective procurement service, whilst acting as a primary point of contact for those departments. You will act as an ambassador for the department, influence end user's choice of products, and make sure all queries and complaints are dealt with in a professional and positive way. You will be expected to create purchase orders and work with external suppliers, effectively, economically and in accordance with the London Clinic's Standing Financial Instructions, Delegation of Authorities and procedures. You will be responsible for identifying usage trends and negotiating cost reductions where possible.

- Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

- Salary: £36,450 - £46,014 per annum.

Key Duties:
- Act at all times within the Ethical Code of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, and within Standards of Business Conduct.
- Respond to general queries and enquiries in a timely and courteous manner, escalating as appropriate.
- Undertake administrative tasks within the department as required, ensuring a smooth-running service.
- Ensure all requisitions have been processed daily and sent to the suppliers.
- Support the tendering/RFQ process and drafting of the documentation, evaluation criteria, tender return evaluation summaries and executive summaries.
- Ensure all orders are raised in line with the London Clinic's Standing Financial Instructions, Delegation of Authorities and purchasing procedures.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience of working under pressure to strict deadlines and prioritising workload.
- Experience gained over a minimum two years working in a similar environment.
- Good, up to date, working knowledge and understanding of procurement procedures.
- Ability to carry out cost benefit analysis using data available.
- Good Interpersonal skill with the ability to absorb new information quickly and then retain it and apply it.
- Ability to persuade and make recommendations to senior managers based on professional judgement and expertise.
