About the company
Our client design material processing and mixing for business across the UK, generally for foundries and quarries. A family run company with a small assembly shop on site who are looking to grow by bringing in an additional, permanent design engineer.
The ideal candidate for this Design Engineer position will:
* Have experience using Solidworks 3D
* Have experience using AutoCAD 3D
* Previously have worked as a Design Engineer in Manufacturing or Engineering industries
* Hold a full, clean UK Drivers licence
* Have experince in process plants, bulk materials handling or structural steelwork
As a Design Engineer your role will include:
* Using Solidworks 3D and AutoCAD 2D for designing material processing and mixing equipment
* Being a customer contact, visiting their sites to measure and quote the job
* Creating layouts for new jobs for quoting
* Using previous knowledge of fabrication and sheet metal to quote jobs
As a Design Engineer you will work:
* Monday - Friday
* 8am - 5pm
* Travel is included, visiting clients across the UK, occasionally staying over night
* £40,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
