Join a well-established, family-run care group as a Registered Manager at a 15-bed facility in the heart of Newquay. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing exceptional care to adults aged 18-65 living with mental health conditions. The facility promotes independence and is not a locked unit, allowing residents to come and go freely.

An exciting time for the company as a new home has been purchased and towards the end of the year residents will relocate to their new home also allowing for a further 5 beds to welcome new residents. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a unique setting with some truly wonderful clients who value their independence above all.  

Essential Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager of a care home or a similar management position.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management or equivalent.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring the delivery of quality, person-centred care for our 15 residents.
  • Update care plans using our electronic care planning system.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Minimum Standards of care as issued by the Care Quality Commission.
  • Manage residents' finances and medication, adhering to regulations with our electronic MED e-care system.
  • Lead and support a small team of carers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Organise and attend relevant meetings, maintain quality standards, and ensure health and safety compliance.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with local organisations and the community.
  • Provide information, advice, and support to residents and their families.
  • Organise activities that promote residents' independence and manage the recruitment and training of staff.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a residential mental health service.
  • Up-to-date training in relevant areas.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead a small team effectively.
  • Proficiency in multitasking and managing various responsibilities.
