Crowe Watson Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly respected firm of Chartered Accountants in Birmingham who are seeking an ambitious Accounts Assistant Manager to join their growing team. The role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients and a clear route to Manager and beyond.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of year-end accounts, management accounts, and advisory services to a varied client base. You will also support junior team members, review work, and liaise closely with Partners and senior staff to ensure the highest standards of service. This position would suit someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a drive to progress their career in practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and review of statutory accounts for a range of clients
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff
  • Assisting with client queries and relationship management
  • Supporting senior management with ad-hoc projects
Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA Qualified
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
