Job Title: Lead Mobile Developer

Salary: £85,000

Allegiance Group are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mobile Developer to spearhead the development of a brand-new iOS application, with plans to expand to Android shortly. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a project from the ground up, shaping both the technical architecture and the future of the product.

As the Lead Mobile Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing and delivering a high-quality mobile experience for our users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of a new iOS application from concept to release.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code in Swift and Objective-C.
• Mentor and guide junior developers within the team.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure code quality.
• Stay up to date with the latest mobile development trends and best practices.
• Ensure smooth integration with backend services and APIs.
• Play a key role in the Android rollout, collaborating with the Android development team.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Lead iOS Developer or Senior Developer, with strong expertise in Swift and Objective-C.
• Solid understanding of iOS frameworks and design principles (UIKit, Core Data, Core Animation, etc.).
• Experience with mobile app architecture and best practices for performance and optimisation.
• Strong understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools.
• Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Firebase) for mobile app backend integration.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles for mobile applications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Previous experience in launching apps on the App Store and Google Play Store.
