Join a dynamic internal finance function and be part of a small, supportive team managing both client and internal accounts payable processes. This 12-month fixed-term contract is ideal for someone who is keen to learn, thrives in a structured environment, and is passionate about automation and process improvement.

Your role as an Accounts Payable Officer will involve:

• Managing client bank accounts dedicated to business requirements, contractor payments, and payroll on behalf of clients.
• Ensuring the administration of client accounts is compliant and properly funded.
• Handling internal accounts payable for supplier invoices, ensuring timely processing and payments before month-end.
• Coordinating weekly payment runs (Wednesdays) to ensure all suppliers are paid on time.
• Working with a small finance team of 3, reporting directly to the finance team manager.

Skills & Experience Required for an Accounts Payable Officer:

• Minimum 2 year of commercial accounts payable experience.
• Strong Excel skills (an Excel test will be part of the interview process).
• AAT level 3 or 4 qualified.
• Keen interest in automation and process improvements.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and check your own work.
