GSL Education are seeking a passionate and qualified Humanities Teacher to join our client schools in Cramlington with the position to start immediately. This is a unique opportunity to inspire and educate students in the fascinating subjects of history, geography and social studies.

Job Summary:

As a Humanities Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that encompass various aspects of the humanities. Your role will involve fostering critical thinking, encouraging a deep understanding of historical and geographical concepts and promoting an appreciation for diverse cultures and societies.

Key Responsibilities of a Humanities Teacher:

Plan and deliver interactive Humanities lessons, including History, Geography and Religious Studies that engage students and promote understanding and respect for different beliefs and cultures.
Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters respect for diverse perspectives.
Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning experiences.
Support students' academic and personal development, offering feedback and guidance.
Cater to the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the humanities curriculum.
Required Qualifications of Humanities Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Degree in History, Geography, Social Studies or a related subject.
Proven experience teaching humanities at school level is preferred.
Strong knowledge of the humanities curriculum and assessment strategies.
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development and use this information to adjust teaching strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students of all abilities.
Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who have the capability to enhance the learning behaviours of the students.
