Join Our Client's Dynamic Team as a Principal Marine Systems Engineer!

Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? We are seeking a talented and motivated Principal Engineer, Marine Systems to work for our client in the South East UK. This is an incredible opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that are shaping the future of the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the offshore design team and provide guidance on how to perform Marine Systems design.
Set up internal workflow for assigned projects and plan the team's activities accordingly.
Study and define the best technical solutions for Marine Systems.
Review technical documentation produced by the team before issuance.
Collaborate with immediate and wider teams.
Liaise with other disciplines during project execution.
Ensure awareness of pipeline design standards requirements and correct application of internal HSEQ policies.
Be aware of naval and structural interfaces with the marine systems.
Review project documentation provided by contractors/shipyards.
This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:

Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (with a focus on Marine Systems).
Highly experienced with writing technical specifications and functional requirements for marine systems in FPSO and FLNG, during the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) and execution on FPSO/FLNG projects.
Specific skill sets in the design of cargo loading, storage and offtake systems, slop and drain systems, bilge and ballast systems, Inert Gas, production distribution and venting, diesel power generation and their auxiliary systems, freshwater production, compressed air, etc.
Knowledge of Classification Society Rules, SOLAS, MARPOL as applicable to FPSO and FLNG.
Experience working on or monitoring FEED and EPC LNG projects.
Seagoing experience as second/chief engineer, experience working with Oil Tankers/LNG Carriers, experience as a Classification Society surveyor or Tanker/LNG Ship Vetting engineer, OPITO certified for offshore travel would be preferable.
