Senior Diagnostic Technician

Location: Taunton
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum plus bonuses
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, no weekends

Are you an expert in vehicle diagnostics with a passion for problem-solving and a keen eye for detail? We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Diagnostic Technician to join our Clients busy team in Taunton. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring that our customers' vehicles run at their best, delivering top-tier diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

Advanced Diagnostics: Perform advanced diagnostics and fault-finding on a wide range of vehicle systems using the latest diagnostic equipment and software.
Repair and Maintenance: Conduct complex repairs and maintenance work, ensuring all jobs are completed to the highest standards.
Technical Support: Provide guidance and technical support to other technicians, assisting with complex diagnostics and repairs.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all vehicles are thoroughly inspected, diagnosed, and repaired to meet safety and quality standards.
Customer Interaction: Communicate diagnostic results and repair needs clearly to customers, ensuring a positive experience.
Documentation: Complete job cards and relevant paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Continuous Learning: Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology, diagnostic equipment, and industry trends through training and self-study.
Compliance: Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

Experience: Experience as a Diagnostic or Senior Technician in the automotive industry.
Qualifications: Relevant automotive qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair).
Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex faults using modern diagnostic tools.
Attention to Detail: High standards of workmanship, focusing on quality and accuracy.
Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing support to colleagues.
Customer-Focused: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex technical issues.
