Job Summary:

The Project Manager for Civil Highways and Bridges will lead and manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, design, scheduling, execution, and close-out. This role requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, project management practices, and regulatory requirements related to highways and bridges. The Project Manager will ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

* Project Planning and Coordination:

* Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budgets.

* Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, engineers, and government agencies, to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

* Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project viability and identify potential risks.

* Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

* Monitor project expenses and implement cost-control measures to avoid budget overruns.

* Approve project-related expenditures and track financial performance against the budget.

* Scheduling and Resource Management:

* Develop detailed project schedules and ensure adherence to deadlines.

* Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet project needs.

* Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

* Risk Management and Compliance:

* Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.

* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor compliance with safety and quality standards.

* Project Execution and Quality Control:

* Oversee the execution of construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.

* Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets or exceeds industry standards.

* Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that their work aligns with project requirements.

* Project Close-out:

* Ensure the completion of all project deliverables, including final inspections and documentation.

* Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to obtain project acceptance and closure.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

* PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.

* Minimum of [X] years of experience in project management, specifically in highways and bridges construction.

* Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management practices.

* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

* Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.

* Must have a valid SMSTS or CSCS Management Card.

* Full 3 day first aid certificate.
