An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join our team on a 2 year fixed term contract, to lead the development and deployment of our new Digital Care Record system, meaning that you will be the driving force behind the success of one of the most exciting and critical projects the organisation has ever undertaken.

The role will be Hybrid working with very regular travel to Group Support/Voyage care services and sites across the UK therefore a full UK driving license is essential.

Responsibilities of the role:

You will be responsible for aligning the project with business goals, setting and tracking clear success criteria, working with colleagues to identify and implement associated business process changes, and ensuring that solutions improve the quality and efficiency of services.

You will be proficient in constructing thorough business cases, detailed work plans, identifying and managing risks and issues, managing teams, achieving milestones and communicating results across a wide stakeholder audience.

You will report directly to the Programme Director and provide leadership to Business Analysts, Implementation Specialists, technical specialists, and business subject matter experts on various projects as required, as well as other project roles and teams in the business.

You will be accountable for:

  • Provide reliable and accurate reports to internal stakeholders
  • Develop project scope and objectives, by involving all relevant stakeholders to ensure feasibility of the requirements are agreed
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Identify and coordinate both internal resources and third parties/vendors required for the execution of the project
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage risks and potential changes
  • Measure project performance as set out within the Project Definition Document
  • Report and escalate to management as agreed with the project governance guidance
  • Manage relationships with the internal and external stakeholders, ensuring engagement from the outset of the project
  • Perform risk management to minimise project issues and risks, and escalate where appropriate
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Evaluate and assess the result of the project
  • Carry out other ad-hoc tasks commensurate with level of responsibility as requested


What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience in accountability for the delivery of digital solutions within health and/or care settings
  • Achieved relevant / professional further educational qualifications. 5+years of professional experience.
  • PRINCE2 / PMP or equivalent project management qualifications
  • Excellent communicator with first class written skills and solution focused
  • Team player and the ability to work as part of an extremely fast paced team
  • Passion for supporting people
  • Worked in a similar role within a large organisation
  • Experience of delivering significant projects working with key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience in driving strategic and organisational change
  • Willingness to work with a hybrid approach, attending the office as required.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly.
  • Excellent proofreading skills.
  • Professional and dynamic attitude to work.
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent personal, communications and influencing skills
  • Proven record in leading and developing your direct reports and team
