Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

The Role:

We're excited to be recruiting a DSAR Officer for a leading organisation on the outskirts of Crawley. In this role, you'll take ownership of fulfilling DSARs and ensuring compliance with UK GDPR. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise data protection processes and support the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in promoting a culture of data security across the business.

DSAR Officer Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full lifecycle of data subject requests (e.g. subject access and erasure requests)
Streamline and improve internal documentation for handling data requests
Assist in the development of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), and Records of Processing Activities (ROPA)
Support the integration of tools like OneTrust for data management
Contribute to company-wide processes such as Data Protection by Default and by Design.
Deliver training and awareness campaigns on data security and compliance
Provide well-considered advice on data protection enquiries
Stay updated with the latest legislative changes by attending industry events and seminars
What We're Looking For:

Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
Experience managing DSARs from start to finish
Relevant data protection qualifications (e.g. UK GDPR Practitioner, CIPP/E, CIPM)
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Strong IT skills, ideally with Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat Pro, or Microsoft Office
Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, or PCI DSS standards
Experience with information security best practices
