Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Permanent Central Planner, working for a client located in Hartlepool. Reporting to the Transport Director. The successful candidate will deliver a range of duties in support of the central planning function.

Central Planner Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the day-to-day routing of vehicles within the business in an efficient and effective manner. Working as part of a centralised team.
Implementation of Health, Safety & Environment policies.
Scheduling all vehicles for the sites/region allocated to this role.
Holiday and absence driver management for the sites/region allocated to this role.
Driver briefing and de-briefing in co-ordination with regional traffic operators.
Ensuring drivers are available for all necessary training.
Ensuring vehicles are available for all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Depot fuel stock management.
Producing and providing all relevant reporting.
Ensuring all planning objectives are met and exceeded when possible.

Central Planner Applicants:

Essential:

Strong planning skills.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining compliance.
Strong I.T. skills.
An ability to motivate and engage the team in understanding best practice and compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
An ability to develop and maintain a harmonious team working environment, reducing points of conflict, and resolving any issues at the earliest stage possible.
An ability to make the best use of the resources available to address the agreed priorities.
A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of all relevant regulatory, law and compliance legislation.
An ability to analyse data to provide effective management reporting to enable fully informed decision making for the Transport Director.

Desirable:

Level 3 supervisory Management (ILM or CMI).
Previous experience of working in a planning environment for a liquid fuel distributor.
