T2M Resourcing are currently working alongside a growing manufacturing business to help them to recruit a Purchasing Project Manager.

As a Purchasing Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing procurement activities across all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring that Bills of Materials (BOMs) adhere to best practices.

Key Responsibilities as a Purchasing Project Manager

* Oversee procurement processes throughout project lifecycles

* Launch purchasing activities following project kick off stages

* Set project timelines and gate review stages

* Present purchasing position at each gated phase

* Drive new BOM processes and ensure they meet best practice

* Produce BOM's alongside engineering teams and distribute to purchasing teams

* Track and report on the progress, costs, and risks associated with the purchasing project success

* Lead activity between engineering and purchasing teams throughout projects

* Act as a key procurement representative in program and project management meetings

* Proactively identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success

* Manage and coordinate purchasing teams for commodity meetings

* Spearhead the reporting and administration of the overall purchasing status for New Product Approval Gate reviews.

Requirements to be a successful Purchasing Project Manager

* Prior experience leading project purchasing within manufacturing programs

* Commodity related purchasing experience

* Bills of Materials (BOM) specialist

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to communicate and deal with a variety of people

* Deadline driven

* Highly organised

* Ability to prioritise and manage own workload

* Experience running large complex cross functional projects

* Strong problem-solver

* Contract Negotiation skills

Desirable but not essential:

* Hold a degree in a business or engineering-related field

* Achieved vocational qualifications such as: CIPS level 4 or Prince 2 certificates

Based at the company's headquarters in Milton Keynes, this opportunity will give the successful applicant the chance to work on several exciting projects within the automotive industry.
