Baxterstorey is seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join our team in London, United Kingdom. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee beverages and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, to our customers' specifications
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other café equipment
• Create visually appealing latte art to enhance the customer experience
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
• Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions about our coffee offerings and menu items
• Assist in managing inventory and stock levels of coffee beans, milk, and other supplies
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and support colleagues during busy periods
• Stay up-to-date with coffee trends and participate in ongoing training to improve skills and knowledge

• Previous experience as a Barista, preferably in a busy café or coffee shop environment
• Excellent knowledge of various coffee preparation techniques and ability to operate espresso machines
• Demonstrated skill in creating latte art and presenting visually appealing beverages
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain high-quality standards during peak hours
• Proficiency in cash handling and experience with POS systems
• Good numeracy skills for accurate cash management and stock control
• Food safety certification is desirable
• In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, roasts, and brewing methods
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg when required
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
• Strong team player with effective communication skills
