Painter - Internal & External Works

Contract: 6-month contract (Potential to go permanent)
Rate: Negotiable, dependent on experience

We are currently seeking a skilled Painter to join a busy and fast-paced site in Ashton-under-Lyne (OL6). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional who takes pride in high-quality finishes and thrives in both independent and team environments.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Carry out preparation and painting tasks using both water- and oil-based paints, for internal and external surfaces.
Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to deliver a professional standard of work.
Burn off existing paintwork, rub down surfaces, and apply fillers to ensure smooth finishes.
Apply one coat each of primer, undercoat, and gloss as required, ensuring alignment with design specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
Spray paint finishes on walls and ceilings, adhering to best practices and safety procedures.
Complete and submit all relevant documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain a high standard of workmanship, ensuring all work is fit for purpose and meets industry standards.✅ Requirements

Proven experience in painting and decorating (commercial or domestic).
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Confident in the safe use of step ladders, scaffolding, and working in confined spaces.
Strong understanding of verbal and written instructions.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
