Hours: 15 hours per week (Saturday & Sunday)
Contract: Temporary until 31st March but could potentially go on for longer

About the Role:

21 Health and Social Care are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Team Leader to join one of clients Outreach Children's Service, focusing on delivering high-quality group support for children and young people attending their weekend club. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a vital service that supports children with diverse needs, enabling them to thrive in a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Team Leader, you will:

* Deliver Person-Centred Support: Provide strong, value-led leadership to ensure high quality, outcome focused support for children and young people in a group setting.

* Team Leadership: Lead, drive, and empower a team of support workers to deliver exceptional care, ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of all children.

* Safeguarding: Act as the safeguarding lead during sessions, managing any incidents or concerns in line with organisational policies.

* Activity Coordination: Plan, prepare, and implement engaging activities that meet the diverse needs of the children attending the club.

* Operational Management:

* Oversee opening and closing of the building in collaboration with an external security company.

* Act as the fire warden and ensure health and safety checks are carried out as scheduled.

* Support the Operational Manager with rota management, performance management, and team supervision.

* Family and Partner Liaison: Build strong relationships with families, carers, and statutory services, providing updates on children's engagement, well-being, and progress.

* Monitoring and Evaluation: Carry out assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of sessions.

Experience and Qualifications:

* Ideally you will posses your SVQ 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7 or equivalent or you will be willing to work towards this.

* Proven experience in a social care setting with supervisory responsibilities, ideally working with children and young people.

* Knowledge of delivering high-quality, outcome-focused support.

* Full current driving licence and willingness to use own or company vehicle.
