Senior Design Manager - Care Homes

Location: Corby, UK

Salary: £65,000 - £80,000

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the design process for new build care home projects from inception to completion.

* Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design specifications are met.

* Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations and standards.

* Oversee the preparation and review of design drawings, plans, and specifications.

* Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.

* Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.

* Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure design integrity is maintained.

* Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and incorporate their feedback into the design process.

* Continuously seek innovative solutions and improvements in design to enhance the quality and efficiency of our projects.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.

* A minimum of 10 years' experience in design management, preferably within the care home or later living sectors.

* Strong knowledge of building regulations and standards.

* Proven track record of successfully managing multiple design projects simultaneously.

* Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.

* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage external stakeholders.

* Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
