Orbital Recruitment are looking for highly motivated semi-skilled operatives to join our clients dynamic team on a permanent basis in Derby.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out refurbishment work on Rolling Stock.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Replacing worn and corroded parts on Rolling Stock

* Must possess the following types of skills stripping down corroded areas, fitting and assembling, basic painting or powder coating and shot blasting

* Carry out work in a professional and safe manner

* Must be to flexible to working both on and offsite

* Must have engineering awareness

About you:

* Ideally Apprenticeship/NVQ trained

* Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think critically High level of attention to detail

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

* Experience of rolling stock vehicle and component repairs would be advantageous

Salary:

* £14-16 p/h depending on experience

* £40 overnight expenses

* Lodge paid

* £25 a day offsite allowance

* 7am - 3.30pm Mon - Thursday

* 7am - 12 Fri
