Through continued growth they are now seeking a Mechanical Fitter / Shift Engineer with experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance and responding to breakdowns within a team environment.ResponsibilitiesAlong with planned & reactive maintenance, the Mechanical Shift Engineer will also have the opportunity to undertake projects and improvement work to both plant machinery & building infrastructure across this highly automated production facility.Requiring a proactive approach and good attention to detail, the Mechanical Shift Engineer must have good understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental, ensuring work is completed in accordance with the CMMS & the companies EH&S guidelines.Skills & ExperienceGood Mechanical Maintenance skills including some of the following: Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Chains, Bearings, Shafts, Seals, Motors, Welding, Fabrication etcGood troubleshooting & diagnostics skillsExperience of mechanical equipment inspections & jobs issued via the CMMS scheduleMaintain & update files/records using the CMMS systemEnsure spares are kept to optimum levels and spares used in PPM or repairs are recorded to enable Stores inventory to be updated accuratelyIdeally an NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Mechanical EngineeringGood ability to read technical drawingsAble to Work at Height and in Confined Spaces with relevant training providedComputer literate, with a good working knowledge of MS office packagesGood communication and team skillsExcellent organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervisionIf this role sounds of interest, please apply now and send your most up to date CV to Alec at TechNichols Resourcing to be considered or call TechNichols Resourcing and speak with Alec for further information.We will endeavour to get back to all applicants but if you have not heard back within 5 working days unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.
