Are you a passionate and experienced educator looking to lead and inspire in the field of Modern Foreign Languages? Our education recruitment agency is seeking an exceptional Head of Languages to join a dynamic team in Rotherham secondary schools. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to shape language learning and drive student success across a variety of key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the Modern Foreign Languages department
Develop and deliver a high-quality languages curriculum, ensuring excellent teaching and learning outcomes across French, Spanish, and other languages
Lead, mentor, and support a team of language teachers, promoting professional development and best practices
Foster a culture of academic excellence, ensuring all students are engaged and challenged
Oversee departmental planning, assessment, and reporting to maintain consistent progress and achievement
Ensure that teaching and learning are inclusive, innovative, and aligned with national standards
Collaborate with senior leadership and other department heads to support whole-school initiatives

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong track record of teaching Modern Foreign Languages
Previous leadership experience, ideally in a Head of Department or similar role
Proven ability to inspire and lead a team, promoting a collaborative and forward-thinking environment
A passion for language education and the ability to engage students of varying abilities
Strong organizational and communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
