Technical Lead

Alexander Steele is recruiting a Technical Lead to join an internationally known FMCG manufacturing business based in Herefordshire. This is a dual role working in the technical team to drive our technical and environmental efforts. The technical lead will support the delivery of the manufacturing strategy in areas related to quality, environment and sustainability.

What's on Offer:

* Paying £40,000

* 25 days + banks

* Onsite Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Responsibilities:

* Act as a role model and advocate for quality, environment, sustainability and continuous improvement.

* Conduct Internal Audits & Hygiene inspections.

* Lead ISO14001 audit and assist with any other external audits in relation to food safety and quality.

* Proactively seek areas for improvements, working with management to continually improve environmental compliance across the site in line with company vision and values which includes carbon & waste reduction initiatives.

* Drive a Continuous Improvement culture, working in collaboration with other departments, to improve quality, controls, operating performance, reduce waste and control cost.

Background Experience:

* 3-5 years of experience in technical, compliance, auditing role within food/drinks manufacturing.

* Qualified to degree level, or equivalent.

* Strong Food Safety & HACCP knowledge.

* Lead Auditor certification would be desirable

* Experience of environmental management systems - ISO 14001 training.
