Credit Controller

Salary: £27,500

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Credit Controller to join their growing credit control team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your expertise will be crucial in maintaining members' accounts and minimising outstanding debts.

What you'll do:

As a Credit Controller, your primary responsibility will be to maintain members' accounts and minimise outstanding debts in line with relevant guidelines and procedures. You'll ensure the accuracy of sales ledger accounts, liaise effectively with underwriters and claims handlers, and promptly respond to queries. Your role will also involve processing payments, performing reconciliations, and supporting new team members. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities will be key to your success.

• Maintain the accuracy of sales ledger accounts for allocated members
• Minimise outstanding debts due from allocated members
• Maintain good working relationships with allocated members and relevant brokers
• Process payment of commissions to brokers in accordance with procedures
• Deputise for other members of the Credit Control function as necessary
• Train new Credit Controllers in department principles and procedures
• Monitor Club Reinsurance invoice procedure and perform quarterly reconciliations
• Process bank charges and perform monthly reconciliations to ensure records are updated

The ideal candidate for this Credit Controller position brings strong numerical skills and an ability to communicate effectively. You're proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and have experience thriving in fast-paced environments. While previous experience in credit control is preferred, it's your problem-solving abilities and commitment to meeting deadlines that truly set you apart.
