English Teacher

Located in Tower Hamlets

We are seeking an English Teacher to join a school in Tower Hamlets from September 2024. This is a fantastic chance to contribute to the growth and development of students at the school, within a well-established and supportive English department. If you have a strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum, live within a commutable distance of Tower Hamlets, and have a commitment to nurturing students' enthusiasm for English, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

· Planning and delivering engaging and dynamic lessons that align with the KS3 and KS4 English Curriculum

· Developing and implementing schemes of work and lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of the students.

· Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies for improvement.

· Collaborating with other members of the English department to develop and enhance the English curriculum and resources.

· Building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, and maintaining effective communication channels.

Requirements:

· Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in English or a related subject.

· Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 levels, with a track record of achieving excellent results.

· Strong subject knowledge

· Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to thrive.

· Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
