Role: Geography Teacher

Salary: £31,350 - £47,839

Duties vary widely but can include:

Design and implement geography lesson plans that align with educational standards and objectives
Prepare engaging and informative lessons on physical, human, and environmental geography
Utilise various teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, hands-on activities, and technology, to enhance student learning
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student participation and learning
Implement strategies to manage student behaviour and maintain discipline in the classroom
Ensure the classroom and activities are conducted safely
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their work and progress and maintain accurate records of student performance and grades
Motivate and encourage students to develop an interest in geography and related fields
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and geography-related knowledge
Select and manage teaching materials and resources, including textbooks, maps, and digital tools

The Successful candidate will have:

Current valid DBS or the willingness to obtain one
Hold QTS / PGCE or the equivalent (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
Prior experience of working within the education sector
Good knowledge of the Religious Studies curricular
Ability to commute to Holmer Green and the surrounding areas
