Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Aigburth
Start Date: September 2024
Type: Full-Time

This supportive and inclusive primary school in Aigburth is seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide personalised support to a child with various Special Educational Needs (SEN). This full-time position will begin in September 2024 and offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on a child's educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to a specific student with SEN, including academic assistance, emotional support, and behavior management.
Implement and adapt individualised education plans (IEPs) to meet the student's unique needs.
Collaborate closely with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other staff to ensure the student's progress and well-being.
Assist in creating and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor and document the student's progress, providing regular feedback to teaching staff and parents.
Support the student during classroom activities, break times, and extracurricular activities as required.Qualifications and Skills:

Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
Previous experience working with SEN children is beneficial but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
