Job Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving product development for both new and existing products. Working within the engineering team, you'll oversee the full design process—from initial concept through development, and into production. This role requires a proactive engineer with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Engineer include:

* Leading product design and development for new and existing products.

* Supporting research, development, and testing of prototypes.

* Identifying and implementing product improvements to enhance the existing portfolio.

* Creating production-ready documentation, including engineering drawings, bills of materials, and 3D CAD models.

* Collaborating with suppliers throughout the development process.

* Ensuring compliance with relevant product approvals.

* Providing technical support to customers, suppliers, and development partners as needed.

* Managing product development projects from start to finish.

Skills & Experience

The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will have:

* Qualifications: Degree in Product or Industrial Design, or Mechanical Engineering.

* Experience: 3-5 years in a design or manufacturing environment.

* Technical Skills:

* Proficiency in assembly design or DFM.

* Strong 3D CAD skills, ideally with SolidWorks.

* Solid understanding of material selection and manufacturing processes.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
