A client of ours is currently looking for a CAD Technician to join our growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to play a key role in producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings for a wide range of civil and construction projects, primarily within the water and infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

* Developing 2D and 3D Drawings and Models for a variety of projects, including:

* Site layouts and general arrangement (GA) drawings of structures

* Reinforced concrete buildings

* Pumping stations

* Pipelines, valves, and mechanical components

* Cabling, pipework, and containment systems

* Temporary works structures (shutters, formwork)

* Steel structures

* P&ID diagrams

* Electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs) and block diagrams

* Coordinating with the CAD Team and designers to create and review drawings and models.

* Collaborating with Site Delivery Teams to ensure designs are constructible and align with preferred construction methods.

* Contributing to Design Reviews, such as HAZOPS, ALMs, and Stage Gate reviews, to ensure quality and accuracy.

The Candidates

* Essential: Experience using AutoCAD for 2D drafting and modelling.

* Desirable: Experience with 3D modelling (Revit) in civil or construction projects.

* Familiarity with the standards and rules in BS19560.

* Experience using BIM360 and/or other cloud-based file hosting environments.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

* Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and receive feedback.

* Be self-motivated and driven to deliver high-quality work.

* Have strong attention to detail and be thorough in all aspects of the work.

* Be well-organised and capable of multi-tasking across multiple projects.

* Be an effective communicator, able to collaborate with different teams and stakeholders including clients, site operatives, and project management teams.
