Controls Engineer

The Company:
A leading and global automotive supplier with a fully automated plant are looking to grow the team with the recruitment of a new Controls Engineer.

Salary:
Circa £50,000 - £60,000.

Skills & Experience

* Time Served or educated to a minimum of HNC level in a related discipline.

* Experience with PLC and HMI's.

* Experience within a high-volume maintenance environment and knowledge of maintenance systems is desirable.

* Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

* Knowledge of the MIG welding and Spot-welding process is desirable.

* Knowledge of Robotic Welding (ABB/Yaskawa with SKS/Fronius) is desirable.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

* Supporting the NPI team with the delivery of new assembly facilities across the UK Region.

* Agree control designs and approve drawings for new equipment.

* Fielding all supplier queries relating to controls.

* Attending supplier sites for machine status reviews/follow-up.

* Performing safety buy-off activities, both at the supplier site and the company site.

* Work closely with the plant controls engineers and supporting the facility handover to production.

* Drive the standardisation of equipment specifications across multiple sites.

* Research and development of new technologies
