CLASS 2 DRIVER

MONDAY - FRIDAY: 06.00 START TIMES

£14.00 PER HOUR BASIC

£19.65 PER HOUR OVERTIME AFTER 42 HOURS

People Solutions are recruiting an experienced Class 2 Driver on behalf of a well established steel client based in Rotherham.

This role will be to cover holiday and sickness cover but may become permanent for the right candidate.

Day to Day Duties

• Driving/operating Class 2 Vehicles safely and efficiently
• Strapping Steel products
• Making on time deliveries
• Ensure vehicle is well presented
• Comply with driving rules and regulations
• Be prepared for various shift lengths
• Ensure your load is strapped securely
• Multi-drop deliveries

Essential Skills

• Hold a valid UK Category C licence for a minimum of 6 months
• Hold a valid UK CPC Card
• Hold a valid UK Digital tachograph card
• Have 6 months experience of driving category C vehicles
• Experience of strapping loads with chains
• Experience of using a flat bed
• No more than 6 penalty points
• No Major endorsement codes
• Positive 'Can Do' attitude
• Good communication skills

Desirable Experience

Experience of working on an ad hoc basis in the steel industry is desirable but not essential.

What training is provided?

Drivers will be required to complete a driving assessment, site assessment and also take regular drug and alcohol tests.
