Management Accountant - Part-Qualified or QBE

Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 (DOE) + Benefits

Are you a hands-on finance professional? Whether you're AAT Level 4 qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or QBE with strong experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to lead and develop within a growing business.

About the Role:

As a management accountant, you'll play a key role in managing the finance function, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while supporting management accounts and group reporting. You'll oversee transactions, ensure accurate postings, and contribute to financial analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the nominal ledger
Process accruals, prepayments, and maintain the fixed asset register
Analyse overhead expenditure and provide insights
Assist in year-end accounts preparation and external audit
Support VAT returns, intercompany reporting, and reconciliations
Review transactions processed by the bookkeeper
Manage direct debits and nominal cashbook postings
Reconcile supplier accounts and generate payments for approval
Reconcile bank accounts and invoice discounting accounts
Conduct credit checks and maintain customer credit limits
Provide cover and support across the finance team

What We're Looking For:

AAT Level 4, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or QBE with relevant experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Sage or similar accounting software experience
Strong communication skills and ability to guide others
